EMILIANO RON

Emiliano Ron has devoted many years to various aerial techniques, choosing to specialize on rope. With an academic background in Cinematography Arts (Editor and Director of Photography) and spending his adolescence mixing his passion for martial arts, punk rock, books and skateboarding, he decided to leave everything and become a circus artist. Learning with great teachers and training alongside others he has become a living legend on the rope. Currently he divides his profession as an artist and teacher; creating new movements and developing a particular eccentric and unique style. A freak on the rope. Raw, wild, brutal and different.

TERRY CRANE

Terry Crane surrendered to restless urges that led him to walk calmly away with the circus at the tender age of 20. Since then, his search for movement and performance mentoring has generated a zigzag constellation of off-the-beaten path destinations, taking him to the San Francisco Circus Center, Montreal's National Circus School (of Cirque du Soleil fame), and the Beijing International Acrobatics School. He has now performed in countless countries, on 3 continents, with various groups such as Circus Syzygy, Circus Monti and Teatro ZinZanni. Terry is a longtime practitioner of capoeira, contact improvisation, hip-hop dance, physical theater, and tree climbing. He infuses his work with these influences as well as his own fiercely unique style.  He is the Artistic Director and Co-founder of the Acrobatic Conundrum.

EMMA SERJEANT

Emma Serjeant is an internationally renowned circus maker with a distinctive style. Creating original circus works permeated by a raw, compelling presence and honesty. Emma considers circus to be a dynamic and unique artform displaying great strength, courage and discipline. In late 2011 Emma co-founded Casus Circus. Casus quickly became an international powerhouse with their hit show ‘Knee Deep’, winning multiple awards and continues to tour the world extensively having performed more than 400 shows in over 100 cities and 11 countries. In 2016 Emma created ESP –EmmaSerjeantPerformance, a production house for contemporary circus and hybrid performance with the simple premise ‘Amazing Humans Doing Amazing Things!’ Collaborating across art forms and in particular international collaboration is of great interest to Emma, cross pollinating cultures as well as movement languages, sharing different creative styles and connecting Australian artists to the international stage. Emma continues to push the limitations of circus with her bold, quirky and captivating performance style. She delights in finding different ways to express and evoke emotion. She has a keen interest in collaborating with other art forms, to present work that extends the definition of circus and connects deeply with audiences.
